Sharing my healing experience

My entire life, I have been an avid skier and snowboarder. My parents bought me my first set of skis when I was just two years old, sparking a lifelong passion for the mountains. I spent many years working at ski resorts, dedicating every winter season to snowboarding or skiing nearly every day. This passion, however, came with risks.

Over the years, I sustained several injuries from snowboarding, but nothing could have prepared me for the day I broke my back, leaving me paralyzed and changing my life forever. That pivotal moment forced me to confront a new reality, one in which the medical profession would become a central part of my journey.

I was consistently prescribed antidepressants, opiates, mood stabilizers, and other medications, despite never expressing feelings of depression. It seemed the healthcare system’s default was to prescribe more and more pharmaceuticals. Like many others in the United States, I found myself caught in a cycle of dependency, with a medicine cabinet full of prescriptions.

Eventually, I realized this wasn’t the path I wanted to follow. Despite my initial resistance, I became addicted to opiates, which only deepened my resolve to break free. Determined to regain control of my life, I moved to Mexico, where I began working with psychedelics as part of my healing journey.

Through this process, I also discovered the transformative power of cannabis and its extracts. Over time, these natural medicines freed me from my addiction and gave me a renewed sense of autonomy over my health. I often joke that I could have saved myself years of struggle if I had learned earlier how to create my own medicine.

Looking back, I realize how much power I had unknowingly handed over to doctors who didn’t truly understand what was best for me. Reclaiming that power taught me an invaluable lesson: it is our responsibility to find medicines that align with our individual needs. For me, holistic approaches should always be the first line of defense before turning to pharmaceuticals.

Since embracing this perspective, I have helped many others find relief through natural medicines. Whether it’s alleviating pain, treating chronic illnesses, or even working with animals, these remedies have proven their worth time and again.

To this day, I often say that if I could only have one medicine in my cabinet, it would be RSO (Rick Simpson Oil). I am forever grateful to Mother Nature for providing us with such a powerful and healing gift.
